Dr. Amarjit Masson was raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After completing his bachelor degree in science at University of Winnipeg, he earned his doctorate degree at New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York. He then completed a residency at Gouverneur Hospital. As a part of the residency program he rotated through Peninsula Hospital in Queens, New York, as well as, Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Masson volunteered at New York City Marathon as well Boston City Marathon while living in New York. During this time he developed a special interest in sports medicine.
Upon completion of his residency, he became licensed to practice in New York. He worked as an associate at a private office in Staten Island, New York. He worked there for four years and honed in Sports Medicine and Foot Surgery and treatment of chronic foot pain. In late 2000, he became licensed to practice podiatry in British Columbia. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Sports Medicine.
Dr. Masson is well versed in all aspects of Podiatric Medicine and Foot Surgery. He has lectured to the South Asian community on the problems associated with Diabetes both in Abbotsford and Surrey as he is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, and English. Canadian Diabetes Association sponsored the Lecture Program.
